Wonogiri is a tourist spot in Central Java, Indonesia. It is known for its various objek wisata. Some of them have been completed and some are still under construction. Some of the objek wisata that have been completed are Gua Putri Kencono, Kahyangan, Sendang Siwangi, and Karamba.
Waduk Wonogiri is also a tourist attraction for its natural beauty. The kabupaten is home to many mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and rivers. It is also a favorite destination for hikers and tourists.
The optimal design of Waduk Wonogiri involves an analysis of water requirements, inflow waduk, and optimum reservoir operation rules. The analysis is performed using a computational model Andalan69 and a dynamic programming method. The results of the analysis are then compared with the original model. The optimized model is expected to have a better performance than the original one. The result of the optimization is a lower sediment trap level and a more efficient operation of the reservoir.

Waduk Wonogiri Optimization
The optimization of waduk wonogiri is a critical part in the management of the water resources. It helps to maximize the utilization of the available water and minimize the potential damage of the area irigasi it is situated in. This study aims to determine the optimal volume of water to be released at a certain time. The data used for this study comes from the detail plan of rehabilitation of the daerah irigasi colo per hektar tahun 2006 and from the report of the water department of southwestern province.
The water supply for the kawasan wisata WGM is 115 hektare. It consists of seven locations in Desa Sendang, Kecamatan Wonogiri, and three in Gumiwang Lor, Kecamatan Wuryantoro. The objek wisata awal di kawasan Wisata Wonogiri berjumlah 7,5 hektare. This is a small amount compared to the total area of the kompleks wisata, which is 115 hektare. The objek wisata has not yet been put into use.

Waduk Wonogiri adalah proyek pembangunan daerah aliran sungai Bengawan Solo untuk kepentingan irigasi, air minum, perikanan darat, dan pelukis. Sebuah tujuan tersebut merupakan peningkatan produktifitas irigasi yang berkembang dengan mendukung sistem industri.
The multipurpose reservoir at Bengawan Solo Watershed, which is the Wonogiri Reservoir, is designed to control the floods. This study aims to develop the unit hydrograph of this reservoir by using integrated similarity approach between the gauged and ungauged catchments.
The simulation results show that the reservoir can still be used to control the extreme floods but with special consideration for the PMF. However, it is recommended that real time flood forecasting is necessary to improve the performance of the Wonogiri reservoir. In addition, the sediment storage capacity can be increased by constructing closure dike, spillway, and connecting channel. The construction of this facility will also result in the improvement of the overall operational performances of the reservoir. Lastly, the operation efficiency can be improved by optimizing the permeability of sediments in the reservoir.
